Marathon weekend is here!!

After all the training and some of the brutal runs I went on, it's hard to believe the weekend is finally here. It's strange though having to wait until Monday to run the race. Boston is also a late start, 10:00 for the first wave and 10:30 for the second wave. Up until a few years ago, they started it at noon so I am grateful for the "earlier" start. They are expecting well over 25,000 runners this year. Should be an INSANE morning. I ran a few times this week but I wanted to make sure I got PLENTY of rest to make sure this cold was out of my system. I still have a lingering cough but I should be fine on Monday for the race.

I went and picked up my number yesterday. #22275. You can track me by this number on race day by visiting www.baa.org. Well, this will probably be my last entry until after the race so thank you all for your donations. (You did donate right !?!?!?!?) Thanks for following this blog as well. It's really still very hard to believe that the weekend is here. As I said earlier, my first goal was to get to the starting line healthy and barring any crazy accident, I have met that goal. We'll see what race day has in store for me. It looks to be a little cool that day, starting in the low 40's with a bit of a head wind but after my 21 training run in the pouring rain, this should be easy.

Thanks again everybody for your support and we'll see you at the finish line!!
