Week 3 is done. Put on 17 miles this week with a long run of 5 miles. I'm currently working from an 18 week training program that has me building up for two weeks and then stepping back my long run in the third week. I've used this method before and it's worked out quite well. Next week my long run will be 9 miles. The achilles was pretty sore after a 4 mile run earlier in the week. Some stretching, massaging, icing and IB seemed to do the trick since it felt pretty good on the 5 miler today.
