A tough run today.

For some reason, as I look back over previous training logs, the 12 mile run has always been a challenge for me. Who knows why but today was not different. About 2.5 miles into my run I noticed my leg was unusually cold. That's what happens when you water bottle leaks. No problem, I'll just take my emergency $10 and buy some water at the next store. Oops, no money. Luckily, I did take my phone and Susan met with with a new water bottle at the 6.5 mile mark of the run. I didn't take my watch either but the run was particularly slow today. Need more fruit and veggies in my diet this week. I hope to run the first half of the marathon course next week (Hopkinton to Wellesley). Total for this week was 24 miles with a long run of 12 miles.

Yesterday was great. After running with the Dana Farber teams long runs last winter, I decided to work the volunteer tables and work one of the water stops on the group runs. It was great fun and was happy to give back.

  2. We'll miss you this year on the DFMC team but look forward to seeing you on the course!

For what it is worth, pouring water all over yourself for the week's long run is just about typical for yours truly.

    Take care,
